Virgo pair

With persistent cloudy nights it seemed a long wait for the next clear opportunity. The moon had come and gone before any galaxy hunting could be resumed and with the onset of summer evenings a dark sky was becoming a long wait . By now Virgo had moved into my window so this pair of NGCs were added to the list. The nearby bright star is 109Vir @ mag.3.7. The galaxies are NGC 5746 (top) & NGC 5740 (bottom). Details: 10" f4.3 Newt. 15 x 8 minute exposures @ iso1600 with CLS in DSS, FIV, CS2 & XAT.
